JC Esthesis affirme son identité musicale et s’il n’y avait cette forte proximité avec Porcupine Tree, il aurait pu devenir l’album de l’année. Favorite track: Skimming Stones.

Mark Hart This is stunning album! Watching Worlds Collide has been played repeatedly on my CD player since receipt Monday 22nd August. It feels very much a sister album to ‘Awakening’ but with added depth and the production and mastering is truly fabulous! Well up near the top of my list for album of 2022. I just hope that one day you will play in the UK!!

Favorite track: Wandering Cloud.

Amber 06:46
She’s crossing the streets of hate Clutching her purse I was driving for twelve hours When I met her eyes again All the wolves howl around her And she runs away Too late, she’d vanished into thin air Amber, it could be her first name Amber, it will never be the same Amber, it has been a long, long way Amber, let’s pretend the world is not so gray She’s crossing the streets of hate Her headphones on I was driving for twelve hours When she met my eyes again If only we could run away, break our chains Get in, and let me become your friend Amber, it could be her first name Amber, it will never be the same

Every day and night They play and bet their cards right Ambitions and illusions Sailing into a world of frail beliefs They have no soul to sell Seasons turn and people change Whispers from inside They can hear them sometimes Things get heated, no one shines Cluttered mind ; Letting the words spill out Please rewind ; What is it all about? Hurry, place your bets now / ‘Cause it will end somehow Flying blind ; Looking for a way out Left behind ; Wasting my time to shout Smiles start to slip away And there is something in the air (win some, lose some) Trust and dignity are upside down Dark circles under eyes They’re getting mixed up in a brand new game That involves each of them Cluttered mind ; Letting the words spill out Please rewind ; What is it all about? Hurry, place your bets now / ‘Cause it will end somehow Flying blind ; Looking for a way out Left behind ; Wasting my time to shout All tied together in the playground Here is the end of the first round What goes around comes around Everything seems to be unsound Like a stone, on their own, they sink alone They become nuts, fight for peanuts, well done It’s been quite a long time since they’re stucked here Kings and queens in their worlds, they’re now about to fall

Skimming stones across the pond Far from the lights of town Bouncing and flying high, somewhere Like diamonds through the dark Stones are dancing in the air And bright is the moon’s spark Dragonflies resting on reeds Water ripples and leaves Bouncing and flying high, somewhere Like diamonds through the dark Stones are dancing in the air And bright is the moon’s spark

Sunrise, yet another flight A warm light is splashing on the shiny wings Hundreds of passengers, that’s my daily routine Fields, like a patchwork quilt, are fading out of sight All around the world All around the world Mountains, through the window plane I wish I could see you again In the mists of my heart, you’ve cleared a path At thirty thousand feet over the sea All around the world (I’m still in the middle of nowhere) All around the world (Someday we’ll have other moments to share) So many months and miles of daydreaming (I’ll be looking for you everywhere) I’m just a wandering cloud in the wind Sao Paulo ; San Francisco Hiroshima ; Barcelona Johannesburg ; St Petersburg Bremerhaven ; Copenhagen Sinking in shades of blue Longing to be with you All around the world (I’m still in the middle of nowhere) All around the world (Someday we’ll have other moments to share) So many months and miles of daydreaming (I’ll be looking for you everywhere) I’m just a wandering cloud in the wind

57th Street 12:00
She got out of the cab Then asked me for a light Her eyes were so deep and dark On 57th Street, Midtown An unknown time In Midtown An unknown crime "Hold my hand", she said to me "And follow me now" Fearful eyes were watching us Under the silver stars "Come upstairs, I promise I don’t bite Take a breath and cross the line And you will be all mine" Close the door, take off your clothes and turn around Sit down, shut your mouth, forget who you are Grab this key, burn all your dreams and become my hound Have a drink, eat something there, you’ll go far Stay with me, I feel I am so hungry ‘Cause this night is just for you and me Cloudy times Dangerous times Strange times Crazy times Lonely times Wild times Classy times Hazy times Thrilling times Pray for me, I feel I am so lonely Help me, let me escape reality Everything here has become so sleazy Help me, kill me, free me, I’m crazy We are all of the same tribe Into the void of our vibes
7.
I spend my time Watching worlds and lives collide Close to the crime Close to the other side Through my lens, So many flames and friends Behind the fence, I am here when it all ends Cities burning in the night A thousand halos of lights Let the crackling of the embers wrap your mind And show them what you find When there’s no hope outside There’s nothing left to hide Holding my breath, Pressing the shutter again I dance with Death Whether there is sun or rain Smoke everywhere, But I know I can’t flee I need to share, bear witness to what I see Cities burning in the night A thousand halos of lights Let the crackling of the embers wrap your mind And show them what you find When there’s no hope outside There’s nothing left to hide
